Published in memory of Ukrainian pianist, organist and teacher Olena Kohut, killed by a Russian missile assault on Sumy in north-east Ukraine on Palm Sunday, 13th April 2025.
May she rest in peace - and may her memory be eternal.
Olena Kohut was a lecturer at the Bortnianskyi Sumy Professional College of Arts and Culture, a solo organist at the Sumy Oblast Philharmonic and a member of the orchestra at the Sumy National Theatre. Vision by Josef Rheinberger is from his Zwölf Charakterstücke für die Orgel (Op. 156, 1888). It has been arranged for solo piano by Fullscore Publishing as a tribute to Olena Kohut - and is available as a free pdf sheet music download.
